    what is the prefered method of travel out there, specifically on the east/south east side?

    Id say at this piont its personal preferance, plenty of BARE ice out there with the biggest drift I found being only 18 inchs deep and 5 ft wide with bare ice right next to it.Average snow pack not over 3 inchs, travel is a breeze. There are some pretty LARGE areas of ruff ice that you need to watchout for. seems to me like they could really mess up a sled if a guys not paying attention and gioing to fast!     Whichever is easiest to load. They both work great right now. Hope it stays like this for a while.

    Pick up truck… Heated cab, they were everywhere on Sat. Fished mid lake mud and seen quite a few trucks. ATV will get you anywhere you desire. Good luck managed 4 on Sat. half day

    Trucks out on Blue Jug and Boot flat as well saturday afternoon…. we managed a few eater eyes too !!!

    After a stint out there yesterday afternoon on the wheeler, I would agree that a truck with heated cab is the way to go….
