Finally did the Mille Lacs full moon fishing. Was absoultly great. Not quite a full moon but close enough espescially as the next couple of nights look cloudy. Best colors fow us were any thing crome. Used #14 husky jerks. Lots of fish from 23.5 to 24.5″. One 26″ and one 28″. Came home with seven in the box, most everything else was over. Around 30 fish thurs. night including a 37″ northern who gave a good accounting of herself with 3 jumps. Friday night was a lot slower with only 11 fish boated and five that came unbuttoned. Wind died and they weren’t as aggressive. We did better than others I talked to. I slowed the speed down from 1.8 mph to around 1.5 mph and was working the bait with slow one foot rod pumps. Think it produced more hits for me but did have a high percentage of missed hookups and fish that came off. Nights were gorgous with moon and occasional metorite. Hope to do it again. Good fishing.

Pretty much the same report from me too, abra. Wish that wind had kept up Friday.

Rained all day today and still looks wet on the radar and webcams. Pulled out early and headed home.

Couple pics. Brothers 27.5 from Thurs (his personal best for 2010) and a fat 26er for me Fri. Fun trip!

I fished in the Rain Saturday night. The bite was slow until 11pm then the eyes started to bite. Wished I could have made it up when it was clear. Did manage to get a 49.5″ muskie just before dark, and that made the trip worth it no doubt.
