Decided to take advantage of the day off of work, and head up to the pond. I took the favorite woman and her daughter. I was thinking some basin trolling, but I got out-voted. They wanted to bobber, so we grabbed some leeches and hit the water. Trolling was our back-up plan, which we never needed. I thought I would check a deep rock pile that usually produces in June. Wasn’t sure it would produce on a calm day. Well, it didn’t produce many walleyes, but it was holding a pile of smallies. We easily boated 20 bass with 6 going 18″+, and the biggest just touching 20″. We got a couple of walleyes and a handful of jumbo perch also. We had one big fish break the line and many more come unglued at the boat, but what a blast. Here are some pix of 4 of the biggest.
