it was a great day for doing anything but work;
it sure looked like a great day for the pout and perch contest, iv never seen so many perch brought in over the pound to plus 2 pound range, that couldnt catch the leader or the 3rd place winner;
well no pixs because the camera locked up and while i was fighting that i never got my note pad out;;Iwas Bumming;
I do remember a young man of maybe 6-7 years young placeing in the top 4, I believe first was 2.4 lbs.
the eel was 4.2 for first, there were plenty of kids there to recieve rods and reels, im betting there were over a hundred with some of the biggest smiles as they walked away with them, what a site—
prizes never quit coming for over 2 hours as we watched one of the cutest silver haired lady with no hat or gloves brave the weather and kept drawing.
Judge Judy caught a salted nut roll candy bar as they went flying threw the air,– me I just stood there sipping my “Old Mill” and wondering if i should just toss the camera on the ice and stomp it to death!! 
IM guessing there were well over a 1,000 people on the ice, we cant wait for this weekends Johnson,s Portside contest held at Nitti,s again- its unreal and fun;
Big D and Big G WERE WELL BEHAVED THIS WEEKEND, I watched them closely
