Pike Fishing?

Could you guys help me out with some info for a pike fishing trip I was thinking about taking up there in the next couple of weeks. We will most likely plan on tip up fishing and be using the trucks for shelter so if a quick move is needed it will be no problem.
Mostof my knowledge of the lake is the north east corner. Not a idea spot for pike. If anyone could point me in the direction of some good weed beds I would be greatful. Any other tips would be a great help also.
We will have the cameras with to hopefully get some photos of some nice Mille Lacs pike. If anyone wants to tag along let me know. The more tip ups the better.

Thanks Covebayguy. Is there a good spot to get on the lake down there or any bad ice spots to be aware of. Like I said, Dont know much about that part of the lake.
Looks like we are planning on hitting it saturday morning. Hope they are ready for us.

You can go out at cove bay public landing ther is a marked road right to the channel and beyond.
