Mille Lacs water temp?

    Anyone got a current water temp? Are we close to making ice yet?

    41-44 today depending on the area. Made the last Mille Lacs Muskie trip of the year in search of treasures of the deep and was rewarded with an almost. Had a very large specimen t-bone my bait about 10 feet from the boat. She did the magical Muskie move of opening her mouth afterward somehow avoiding three sets of trebles only to sink back to where she came from. Cisco spawn appears to be done as well and the fish I did encounter were deeper off big reefs. 16-26 FOW.

    Sounds typical,
    I was on a Metro Lake Sunday and surface was 41-43F

    Need a couple days of wind and 20F Highs to cool tehm off.

    In addition to the anglers out there posting temps, try this site:

    They have recently added a thermometer to measure water temp. Cool web cam as well.
