It sure felt great to get the fall trolling started! My dad and I fished a couple of rock to weed areas. There was no shortage of action. The smallies and rock bass are stacked up shallow. Our best walleye action came late. The best baits by far were the bent lip shad raps. No real big ones, but a good start to the fall.

    Wow, nothing wrong with that!

When you say bent lip shad rap, are you talking about the shallow shad raps?

Nice fish. You need to smile. I sure would if I was holding them.

Glad to see you found a few Jake. I caught one small walleye trolling in front of Myr Mar Saturday night. Did find a few smallies and rock bass to. Small flicker shads took my fish. Would of liked to of ran to a few different areas to see what was biting but was kinda limited by having my small boat up there. Hoping to be back up in a few weeks.

Nice job – can’t wait for the end of Sept. Water temps still around 67-68?

I managed to get out on Sunday night as well for a while, we had incredible smallie action most of the night. Bent lip number 9’s were the bait of choice for the smallies. Number 7’s yield a few short walleyes and a couple rock bass. We ended up with 10 smallies and 4 of them over 20″…Tanks Water temp was still very warm, 70 degrees unless my water temp was off… What was everyone else reading for temp?
