Pretty quiet on the board these days. Any fish being caught?

I could answer that if I could get out. Like an 80 year old grandmother in law and a 1 year old neice really care if I was at their b-day parties.

I’d better get some major points for wasting last weekend like that.

Had friends up there, strictly musky heads, they didn’t move a fish during the week of the 11th – 18th. I was there, 18th through 26th, more a multi-species trip and we moved three fish, all on the south side weeds early in the week. My brother did catch a nice 38″ northern trying to encounter the other species.

The MAC tourney was there on the 18-19th and I understand they landed a 53″ fish during pre-fishing and two of the 13 boats entered doubled. The one boat had a 50 and 43, I think if I remember correctly… and 3 other boats scored.

I was in pool 13 the other day and was pre fishing for the chairty tourn, and found a small limit in a hurry, and the biggest northern i have ever got. The biggest tape in my boat is 36 inches and it was longer than that, and to make it better it was on a buzz bait.

Fished Tonka this weekend, and had about 30 LM bass and an undersized muskie. Best fish and 2nd best fish came on the same spot, 4.5 lb and 3.75 lb. Got 10 of our 30 in that one spot.

We’ve had reports of at least one or more good muskies caught every day for the past 4-5 days. Over the past weekend, quite a few fish were seen and a few reported caught. 3-4 fish from 51″-53″ have been caught the past 48 hours that we know of on the north shore by our guests and or boats that launched here. The one in the photo below is a 53″ caught yesterday morning.

They never tell us what the bait was! These are muskie fishermen that don’t talk much. All we know is they carry a coffin full of baits to the boat.
