The results from the Wave Wacker and pictures of the event are on Walleye Central: Wave Wacker

I think next year I’ll have to give it a run.

I am afraid this tournament might not be around next year, unless some changes are made.

I don’t know for sure, but with the Economy this tourney has gone from 200 boats 2 years ago with a waiting list down to 125 last year and 84 this year. Lund is stepping up and making some great contributions to a great and well run toruney, but it is not looking good.

I hope to be back next year as well.

entry fee 1500???? week off of work, gas, lodging, food, for a chance of 25K vs the old winnings of 75K….just my thoughts.. What do you have to place to get your entry fee back?
I am thinking a lot of people are going to shy away from this tourney simply because its lucky to catch a 28″ or better fish right now in Mille Lacs…84 boats this year with only 4 overs. Mostly I am thinking outloud I guess…

I was pretty surprised to see the 1st place payout drop $50,000. I understand that registrations are way down. The entry fee is still pretty high though. I believe it was $1200 per boat this year. I want to say 12th place got their money back. I went to the website and it’s all closed up right now. Fisherman’s Wharf may be doing some maintenance.

They paid out 30th based on 125 entries. Not sure what the real payout was.

    Paid 20 places. Money back 10 – 20 .
$20M for first. There were 84 boats.
Still the best tourney on the pond!
