Any reports on any hatches going on? I’m heading up Fri. night out of the North End.

I was up last week out of Izaty’s and there was a fish fly hatch . The fishing was slow for us, but I blame the wind more than the bugs . We caught most of our fish corking and most of them were under the slot! . Good Luck!!

The lake fly hatch has been smaller than normal this year with the cold air keeping the water temps down. There’s some around the buildings during the day but the night fishermen are seeing quite a big hatch around the lights lately on the water. Warmer temps could up the hatch in the next few days on land and sea.

They were starting to get pretty thick Tuesday night as we came off the water. I would agree – The warmer temps. predicted will bring them out in full force.

They were thick last night after 9pm. Pretty calm. Nice wind today and not a problem. Got into them good on the bobber bite! Chashed smallies this morning. Got 3 cookie cutter 18ers. In for a break right now.

Nice little cold front pushing through right now. (4pm) Rain for the last 1/2 hour and now the wind just did a major shift. From the SW all day, now out of the NW…

That was a crazy little front that pushed through, but made for a nice sunset.

Agreed on the sunset. It was nice.

Jon – thanks for the update. Bugs were not too bad. My family ended up catching 9 fish in a couple hours. My 8 year old boy caught 4. 3 of them were keepers. Well worth it.
