Nothing was fast and furious but we did manage 27 eyes this weekend. We fished Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday morning. Sunday morning was by far the slowest for the three of us that went. In fact only four of our fish came on Sunday.
We were still corking the shallow rocks in the evening and pulling long lindy’s in 15 – 20 feet during the day. Red hooks and leeches for us. It was about 50/50 for the catch. About 50% came corking and the others came pulling lindy’s in the sand. As always, worked the transition areas hard.
Big fish were 26, 2-24’s, 23, and a 19. The rest were keeper size with a few too small mixed in.
We made a run out to our favorite mud flat but couldn’t get them going. Marked a ton of fish out there but they were not ready to go for us. Water temp. was still reading below 60, so I am guessing it will crank up on the mud in another week to 10 days or so.

Good luck out there and be safe

Primarily northeast corner. We made it as far west as barnichles and as far south as Agate Bay. I know that is not very specific but we covered a lot of ground. I am an east sider

How were the waves in the North east corner saturday? We were out of Hunters saturday and it was CHOPPY, needless to say we were only out on the east side of the lake for only a few hours.

Not too bad. I would much rather drag two socks than try and battle the bite in no wind. Sunday was tough for us. The last couple Sunday’s = no wind – no bite for my boat any way.

We had fairly good luck, on the rocks for the evening bite. On saturday night, it was my boat that was spot on… at least my niece was. She boated 8 eyes, 4 for the box & 4 around 10″ that went back. She missed at least that many too. I had 2 bites and boated 1 16″ for the box. My brothers father in law, boated 3, a 15″ for the box and 2 dinks. Seesm the hot bait was an orange leadhead with a less than lively leech hanging from it a foot off the bottom. Sunday night, I was trying to get spot on again, but the wind was so low and unpredictable, I ended up 22 yards west of where I wanted to be… My cousin joined us in the area with his boat, and I told him to anchor up 20 yards inside of us…. yep, he slaughtered them… I boated 2 dinks the whole time from 6:30 – 9:45… He had his 3 young kids with him, so it was nice to see them get into them. I noticed alot of boats were actually, in shallower than what we were fishing, but from what I seen/heard, they were cathcing overs…. we had a great fishfry on saturday, so we needed to replenish the stash The evening rock bite is cranking up and the weather was perfect… a few gnats but no mayflies yet
