Watch the west side ice!!

The west side took a turn since the last time I was out.The snow and slush got better but the lake went nuts with cracks today.Dandorn and I took off from Terrys this A.M and there was a wheelhouse that took the axel off in a foot wide crack coming off midday.This crack starts north of Terrys road,heads south and splits.Its a big one so be careful fellas.The west side resorts are not recomending truck travel off the roads and after today neither would I.We caught some fish but mostly small ones and a couple overs,but we couldnt get anywhere. Next time we aren’t dinking around in that jeep,Dan.Oh well,next time.

thats not good news- I used to go out of a place called Riches that was next to Headquarters for years, great early ice fishing in 8-12 ft but it was a little shakiey going out that close to the creek–ill call Garrison Sports this morning and see whats shaking
