Ice conditions across the lake

First, I want to thank Red Door for posting ice conditions daily. I will be up that way in the near future.

What I’m looking for at this time is ice conditions in the bays primarily on the west side. Might be going to do some tip-up fishing with the kids. Is it safe to say all of the bays on Mille Lacs are safe for atv and snowmobile? Have there been any fishermen out in St. Albans, Garrison, Wigwam, or Vineland? Looking to go early tomorrow morning. Thanks

Went out Saturday and had 10″ in the bays. I knew the baitfish were going to be plentiful, but I honestly think there are more baitfish (little perch) in the lake this year than last year. Only caught 2 walleyes, 25″ and a 19″. It didn’t matter where I drilled a hole, every hole was full of tiny perch. Drilled holes from 4 feet to 25 feet, can’t get away from those annoying perch, haha.
