I guess were staying at twin pine resort nice people there. If you were staying there where would you fish? My friends and I are not to familiar with the lake any help would be great.

I’d start fishing either the weed lines or the rock piles that are close to shore during the first light hours. Get there early to setup for the bite at first light. Mid to late morning I’d move out to the mud to spend the afternoon hole hopping the base of the flats, but be sure to check out the top edges also. At dusk you could either head back in to the morning locations or set up on the top edge of the mud flats.

That side of the lake you don’t need to travel far to the flats, but be sure to check with the resort if the ice is good.

Oh, this information is based on if you were heading up in the next few weeks. Your post didn’t mention when you plan to go.

Well not a real good taste in my mouth after the weekend. Caught two fish a 18″ walleye and a nice ellpout for 9 hrs of fishing I could have done better around my area. Oh well thats fishin. We were on the garrison flat and there was about 20 other people there I thought we were gonna crush em.

Chuck, give the Red Door a shot next time up. With their daily fishing/ice reports and the option to use our Private Message system, you will have a clear advantage of current bite activity.

Nothing wrong with the other resorts on the lake…but we have a unique advantage with our sponsor posting the no fluff reports here!
