C’mon, people! I need my fix of early-ice information on Mille Lacs!
What’s the skinny on Sunset Bay? Anybody been out there or know if Appledoorn’s is opening any roads? I know as of about a week ago there was still open water according to my folks.
I’m heading up this weekend and am wondering what my chances are of getting out there … that is if my girlfriend is at least semi-cool with it. I haven’t exactly “prepped” her for the possibility, but oh well.

If my girlfriend ever gave me even a little bit of grief about going fish I can promise you I’d be single really quick. She knows that fishing is a must.
Nah, she wouldn’t give me much grief. We just planned this as our “get away from the world/relaxation” weekend is all. I’d feel a little guilty is all as I never expected good ice at this time of year as it’s been a LONG time since we’ve had good early ice.
That said … I might wet me a line.
