Fished the West side on Saturday. Put in at sunrise and off at sunset. Bright sun and air temps in the 50s made for a nice day on the water. The water temp was 43. We casted weeds, rocks, reefs, and transitions without success. No trolling, but there were a few other boats pulling baits.
One smallie at 20 inch was our lone fish. The DNR creel survey guy was on the north Garrison landing when we came off. He said that no one has been having success.
I’m putting the boat away until next spring when I’ll hit ’em hard again. I love the hunt, even if no fish are brought in.
