This should be a great thread. I’d like everyone to post their biggest Full Moon Mille Lacs Lake Walleye…

Here is mine, she only taped out at 26 inches but she went 9 pounds…

Here is a 30 incher that was boated last Wednesday night. She was not as fat as some of the other fish we boated, but still a nice one!

One of the many, don’t know for sure if it was the biggest but it’s on film.

Todd Palmer watched me take the first 8 fish of the night, then he hooked this one.

Here is one of my Mille Lacs Moon eyes.

Guided by James Holst..October 11..I don’t remember what time it was but she came right after we moved to the big fish spot. She was just under 30 inches that sounds better than 29 1/2 inches…don’t you think?

    Nice fish James Good job.

Heres a couple from the weekend before the full moon. The daylight photo was the first cast of the day on Sat the 4th. The next 2 casts each produced a 19″ smallie. The night time photo was a fish that hit about 3 or 4 mins. into the first trolling run of the night.

Here is a pic of the pike Mike got. We didn’t tape her out, but I’m sure it was over 36 inches.

Two of us boated 15 last Wednesday night on Mille Lacs, including two that fell between 27 and 28″. Following is a picture of a 27.25″ that I caught. There was also a 36″ pike. I ended up on Woman Lake through the weekend so Wednesday was my only Mille Lacs action for this full moon.

Neither , it is full of necessary tools and supplies like reading glasses , camera , flashlites and hook removal equipment. The refreshments needed a larger cooler.

Mike W’s pike. We handlined this girl in after a tangle followed by a snafu resulted in the wrong line being cut. Ooops!

We were sticking 6 – 10 pike a night… many of which were over 12 Lbs. Not bad when the “other” fish are big pike. Beats bullheads I say… lol

Still waiting for my buddy to figure out printing from his new digital camera – but we fished from midnight to 4 am on Thursday night and never got 1/2 mile from the launch and caught 13 – basically the same story on Friday night and caught 13 – biggest was 27.5 inches and 7.5 pounds – second place was 25 inches and weighed 6 pounds. We did wind up with 5 eaters Friday night -fished till 2 am – and then Saturday night we caught only 3 with one keeper- fished only till midnight. All on rogues at about 1 mph with some as high as 2 mph. Silver and clown while the moon shone and laser craw and smoky gold when it went into hiding. Will keep trying to get photos but we were proud to have done that well fishing from a flat bottom war eagle duck boat with it being our first ever try at fishing at night. All the great info here helped tons. We found no success with HJ’s but will give another try another time. Chuckles

Here is a good one that Dinosaur got one of the nights we were out. All seems like a blur that went by way too fast!
