The evening bobber bite on the East side rock piles has been producing better numbers of Walleye for me than the daytime bite. Anchor in 8-10 feet of water, using a 1/32 Green jig with the red hook under a bobber. Medium size leeches is all a person needs right now. A little wind always helps turn the fish on, and there was plenty of wind last weekend. A real good mix of keepers and throwbacks.
During the day on Saturday I motored up to the north end lindy rigging with a medium to large leech, about an 8′ snell length, and I switched hook color from plain to red to green. Less numbers, but I did manage a 26.5″(no pics as I was by myself) near the Culvert, and boxed 2, 17.5″ers.
What did you guys think of that wind that came up with those spotty rain clouds? Man, those were some of the biggest gusts of wind I can remember coming out of what seemed to be small rain clouds. Had to be over 50 mph for about 5-10 minutes long. Weird.
Everybody have a fun and safe Memorial Day Weekend.
