A neighbor of mine on Mille lacs asked me a question last weekend that I couldn’t answer, maybe someone here has the answer. Why doesnt the DNR harvest eggs and milk from the netted walleyes the tribes bring to shore and put them back into the lake. From what I’ve seen on TV quite a few fish are still alive at the time the’re brought to shore. The DNR goes to alot of work and expense to trap and gather eggs in other places ,here the fish would be brought to them. Supposedly they are already present doing their tally.
