It’s been pretty quiet around here lately. Not much debate or discussion. Anyways, I was curious to how many of you pick Mille Lacs as your lake of choice for walleye opener. I have been going to Mille Lacs for quite a few years on walleye opener, it’s kind of a traditional thing. I think this year is going to be a decent bite for the first couple of weeks, however, I think there are going to be a lot of bigger fish caught. I think getting a limit of 14-18″ is going to be pretty tough (that is if the 18-28″ slot is implemented). I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, those perch that are 4-6″ may become a pest with a lively leech this spring. If those perch peck at the leeches too much, we might have to go to using shiners or chubs to keep the little perch away. What do you guys think? Bring on open water!
