I’ll be heading up to the big pond Sunday afternoon staying untill Monday afternoon. I wanted to go up for the tourney but duty calls. I’ll be taking my two children with me for their first ever ice fishing experience. I wish the reports were better. Oh well. We will be spending the night in a shack out of Hunter’s Point with a big horse on it. I’m hoping we can get some Perch action and a stray Walleye would be awesome. I’m thinking of bringing the portable in case we have no action and the kids start to get bored. Are my best odds to head out to the flats? I will really want to try to ice some fish in order to keep their interest. Should I try some fresh shrimp? I saw a report where that was the hot ticket. Is that possible? Any particular presentations that are working better than others right now? I really appreciate any and all help. If you are around there this weekend, stop and say hi. Remember the horse.
