We are experiencing some cold wind and rain in this area today and again tonight. Northwest winds at 15-25 mph and 55 deg’s in temperature!

This weather is just what we needed for our fall walleye bite. This cooler weather and the wind will cause the lake water temperature to drop. I am looking forward to what this weather will have done for the temp’s, I’ll post the
    results soon.

Please get your wife to take pics if you do this!!! If you stuck a chem-light stick to your head, we could use you night fishin’.

I’ve got sod going in at my place this weekend, other wise I’d likely be making the trip. I love this time of year. The water temps should take a decent plunge with this weather.

I only have a hand held VHF so I usually don’t have it on.

I’m on channel 82 sometimes in the house here and ALL the time in the boat.

As far as the toe in the lake…….that would be a bit much! I know that the water was down to 64 deg’s as of Thursday morning. I am holding off to go on the lake tonite. The morning bite has been better for me. Evenings I can’t stay out to late as I get a bit tired. It’s easier for me to get up and hit the lake at 5am……….The forecast is for a cold night!!!!!!!It will be cold in the morning!!!!

I have the radio on all the time. I scan all of the channels and use 68 most of the time.
