Fished the North end last night and we found it alittle slow. We had 2 boats and ended up with 9 walleye’s and a northern. Biggest walleye caught was 26″and a 25.5″. Smallest was a 18″ from Clarence. Heard Kooty and “Team Skeeter, but nobody else. Where was everyone?

Here’s a couple of pics from the “Chapman Team Evinrude” Boat. 31 in northern and one of the 23/24’s that my son
(Duramax)caught. He seemed to have the hot pole last night. I even put on the same lures but had a tough time getting hooked up. But 24″ is his personel best so he was pretty happy.Chappy: noticed you didnt bring up the Perch from earlier in the day. Seemed even with a “guide” Chapman Team Yamaha had trouble getting jumbos in the boat..
Buy the way….Jumbos are bigger than that HJHad a great time this weekend.
Should up the anti next year say…..Loosing team has to wear the opositions colors home. Or something like that.
October 28, 2007 at 9:28 pm #620123We managed 22 fish last night….we started off with 8 fish in the first hour, then we blanked until the 11pm-12am hour….We continued to pick up one here and one there during the final hours . We fished until 3 am… One guy had the hot stick catching 15 of the 22 fish…. .
The last 2 nights have been a bit slower….The water temp is falling and I think the fish are starting to group up more….If you can find that school it should be really good.
Good luck to all those still fishing.
October 29, 2007 at 10:14 am #620195Friday and Sat. were slower for us as well. We managed 16 eyes but they were here and there. No real pattern. We definetely had better nights leading up to the full moon. Oh well, thats fishing. Boat is in the garage for the winter – Good luck guys. I am off in Nov. to chase that big buck. See ya on the ice.
October 29, 2007 at 1:04 pm #620223We found it alot slower than last weekend with only 14 eyes Saturday night fishing until 2 am for the two of us. No real pattern emerged and it was real spottey for finding fish. It seemed like it was going to be outstanding judging by the conditions but it was not meant to be. It was still great to get out and enjoy the lake.
October 29, 2007 at 4:13 pm #620260Team Skeeter started the night a little slow but ended up with 18. Finished the night with a “Frenzy” in front of Wealthwood. Got off the water at 4:00. Thought it was only 3 a.m. though thanks to my Lowrance and the daylight savings time that didn’t happen on schedule.
October 29, 2007 at 4:31 pm #620269Action was pretty hot and heavy at my spot…but I wasn’t fishing that night! Went home after 9 days!
October 29, 2007 at 4:59 pm #620284We were on the other side of the red door. Fish seemed to be there, but didn’t respond to anything we did. S curves, pumping the rod…ect…….The pink thong story Kooty was talking about kept my dad pretty entertained!
October 29, 2007 at 5:44 pm #620301Kooty and story telling are always humorous. Especially when they start with “I’m going to use up a little air time now, so bear with me…”
We were east of Red Door with you most of the night but went West about 1 a.m. I think it helped to get away from the boats a little.
Interesting to note that on Saturday night, 16 of our 18 fish came with the rod in the rod holder. Much different than previous nights.October 29, 2007 at 5:58 pm #620305We were west….That’s what I meant by the other side of the Red Door.
October 29, 2007 at 9:27 pm #620373I was out last Wednesday and all the boats that caught fish near us had rods in the holders. I’ll have to keep that in mind for this Saturday…
