Sounds like some harsh wind on Sat. anyone going up fishing? Anyone going to try and fish the north end, will the fish even be in there if there are 4-5 footers? Please let me know what you think I will fish the north end if the fish are going to be there. Thanks guys good luck this weekend if you make it up there.

Yeah, we will give it a go wind or not, but we might be on the south side if the waves are too crazy.
I don’t think the wave action will slow down the fish on the north side.
September 28, 2007 at 5:34 pm #611836We were up last night and were only able to drum up 8 of them. Smallest was 17″ largest was 25 1/2. I hope we can get some action up there tomarrow.
September 28, 2007 at 5:36 pm #611838Looks like wind out of the south 10-15 mph tomorrow night. A good chop.
Don’t think you’ll see 4-5 footers unless it gets around 20-30 mph winds.

A good rule of thumb on Milly….. If they say 10-15 you need to add the 2 together. Tomorrow night > 25 mph!

September 28, 2007 at 5:49 pm #611841These forcasts are constanty changing, but here is the latest off the NOAA site:

Saturday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. Breezy, with a south southeast wind between 13 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
Saturday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Breezy, with a south wind between 14 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
September 28, 2007 at 7:00 pm #611857We’ll be there, bring out the rain gear and the life jackets. As long as your catching fish, the weather is never that bad.
September 28, 2007 at 8:35 pm #611882The wind shouldn’t hurt the fishing one bit, in fact it will probably help you. Just remember safety first. It can really make it a pain in the [censored] for the person running the boat.
October 1, 2007 at 12:37 pm #612293That was one windy weekend to try and fish in. At least the fish where still bitting.

So true!
Friday night on the north end… what a way to start the fall fishing season.
I started with a bit of a head ache and upset tummy.
Overall a good night though.
October 1, 2007 at 7:17 pm #612437We pulled a lot of fish out of the Casino access, but if the water drops anymore I’ll need to launch elsewhere in October. We only saw 5 boats Friday and 4 boats Saturday, were they somewhere else or just not many on the lake? Believe me I’m not complaining!
October 1, 2007 at 10:43 pm #612486Any one have any reports from the weekend or did everyone get blown off the lake?
Headed up friday evening with 2 good buddies. Can’t wait! I’ll drink with them Sat. until my other buddies show up for the Sat. night runs. Should be one hell of a good weekend! It’s go time!
October 2, 2007 at 1:53 am #612529It was a windy weekend but the fish where still bitting. Ive heard good reports coming from several areas around the lake. We fished 3 different areas over the weekend and found fish on all of them. Now trying to stay on them and fighting the wind was a different story.
October 2, 2007 at 11:36 am #612580My friends found 60 – 61 all over the north and west sides. However, this wind and rain this week should be helping considerably.
October 2, 2007 at 12:44 pm #612591Yep I think it has been 60-61 for about 2 weeks now. If the water temps drop it will bring in more and bigger fish in my opinion. The fish are definitely biting. Like Mike, I have found fish in all areas I have fished (probably the same areas as Mike ) but some areas are better then others. I think weeds are more consistent, but have found some bigger fish moving up on the rocks late night (after midnight). As Mike and I were discussing, the best is yet to come!
