Hoping the lake got dumped on this week, it might not help raise the lake level, but hopefully sustain it’s current levels??

Bob is at LOTW fishing in the MTT Championship.

I saw on the radar what looked like an all day rain. Checked the lake level and it went down!!!

Judging by the map(not very good) on the USGS wesite it looks to be pretty close to the public access in Cove Bay.

Lake Oahe was/is much the same. However, it’s coming back this year, just slightly. Hate to see this low water anywhere!!!

That was at the end of the dust bowl years, and before the Rum River Dam came into use, which raised the water about another 4 feet once the lake came back up.

FYI, the shallow flat below the scenic overlook in Isle Bay was a potato field during those dust bowl years. You can still see the rocks that were piled up along the bluff side of the field early in the season.

as I recall reading, the north side was good for pheasant hunting, where there is water now! That just is mind blowing!

And the water around the pier lookout in Garrison where the big walleye sits was shoreline for 50 yards out when it was first built.

I drove into the Cove Bay access about a week ago looking for the gauge but I didn’t see anything that looked like a gauge.
