I see that the water was down even more. Casino access still ok. I know that i need to have it trimmed all the way up but usually i can make it without too much difficulty.

I have been by there twice in the last couple of weeks and have not seen a rig sitting there!

I have a buddy with a 16′ that needs some prop work. He was there about 2 weeks ago.

Its a tight fit but can be done without prop damage. The last couple weeks I’ve used it just fine with a 18’6 tin boat by staying to the left when going out and vice versa coming in. Also Grifter uses this with his 18’6 glass boat just fine. If you take off and get to the right side you will end up getting out and pushing.

Thats what the black thing on the front of your boat with yellow words on it is for.

I’ve used the casino access all year and most recently last Sunday. It’s shallow but I’ve had no problems. Just get somebody to sit on your bow and trim your motor properly. However, I would advise against it with a strong east wind…

Coming in late at night with no bouys out front and a strong east, northeast wind…. NOT FUN!

You won’t see me there this fall.

This water level is terrible. I thought last year was bad. We need lots of snow this winter and tons of rain next spring.

I pulled my vertical lift out on Sunday, Aug 30th. My I was worried about getting the boat off the lift if I waited any later. That is WAY early.
The dock is just about unusable.
I’ll not be using the casino access. I had a rough experiance there last year on the 1st weekend in Nov. w/ a strong SE wind. Waders and a diesel Superduty solved the problem.
Being a SE corner guy I’ll use Fredrickson’s as my 1st choice and Buzzies as my 2nd.

Buzzies is only a couple minutes from Isle.

Where is Fredickson’s and what/where is the next ramp north of the Casino?

To get to Fredrickson’s you follow 27 east out of Wahkon where you make a left on Lakeshore Blvd. Follow this to the “Y” where you go left and the road name turns to Benette(sp?). The marina will be on the left at the end of the road approx 1/3 of a mile past the Y.

I’d say the next best ramp past the casino would be Terry’s.

Isn’t there a resort right in Isle just a half block past Super Value which has a good enough boat ramp? My understandig is that people are using the public one, but some are walking their boats through the channel. Is Buzzies just to the west?

You are probably thinking of Scenic Bay Resort >>>>> http://www.scenicbay.com/

Have not used it but give them a call to find out.

Buzzies is the old Macs Twin Bay Resort. Couple miles up 47. Turn on I think it’s called Jacks Twin Bay drive. That ramp is in great shape.

From what I can tell from the DNR water level data, the lake is about 1/2 foot lower than last year at this time. Does that appear to be the case, or is it more?

The lake is so low you will need to be carefull that you don’t back your trailer off the cement ramp at Twin Bay, there is a deep drop off at the end of the ramp. They have put up signs to let you know just how far you can back in. I believe Kevin is going to fill in with some rock, or block soon. A couple trailers have dropped off and damaged their trailer fenders recently.

Thanks for the heads up Jack. They do have a good ramp and access there. Now parking and maneuvering threw the bar parking lot is another story.

I remember watching this episode That was a tough night to be out. We couldnt figure out why you were driving in the lake….then we came in

The rain we received the last 2 days should help, I still dont know if I will use that landing again!
