Was out on Saturday targeting smallies. Put 5 in the boat but nothing really picture worthy. Switched over to trolling small cranks on the shallow rocks looking mainly for perch or a slot walleye. Sorted through several small perch and one 12 inch eye. Did manage to put 4 decent sized perch in the box for an evening snack!

Wanted to update everyone on the progress over at Liberty. Everything is looking great. One more layer of pavement and the lot will be done. Looks like the rest rooms will go in next. Then maybe a little landscaping . All we will need then is a little water. I think Bigfife said it best. Rained all week and the lake went down an inch!

Good news at the Wharf. Daron had the old channel dredged out. Solid 2 foot of water all the way out to the lake. Should be usable through the fall full moon.

Here are a string a pix.

looks good, just wondering how Terry from terry\\\\\\\’s on the west side will feel about all of us \\\\\\\”prostitutes\\\\\\\” using the new access. Not that i truely care about his opinion, just re-stirring the pot

    great post Jon!!

I think the Liberty Beach Public Access will get some use from a few of us around here!!!

I think it offers a good location to access the lake from and should provide ample parking on most weekends….

It will be a great access, but the DNR is going to have to dredge it out a bit. But the last I heard they had no plans of doing so. I use Liberty\\\’s private access ALOT, and it is very shallow. Hope they dredge it out!

I tried Mac’s Twin Bay this past weekend. Very deep launch, no issues at all getting the big rigs in there. Just another option for everyone.

Excited to see that Liberty is finally getting done.
