Has anyone been around the northend of Mille Lacs in the last few days? There are a ton of snails washed up on the sand along the “hogs back” area. They are laying from the waters edge up to 3 feet back. The sun is baking on them and boy does it sink!!!!!
I don’t think I have ever seen as many of these ever?

“I mean there is a ton of them”…………..

I’ll post a picture my next trip up there.

Here is a pic of the snails along the shoreline. I asked a neighbor about it and they said it’s a phenomenon………

Wow!! Some of those things look rather large. I used to see them in stock dams back home, but they were very small in size, maybe half the size of a dime.

Bobber, I heard the walleye did a “drive” and drove them all to shore. Man there must be a lot of walleye in that lake

    Dave,
You wouldn’t be saying that if you could of smelled these things, dead fish smell better!

I just talked with JAG about these snails and he said he was running his boat up along the NW corner of Mille Lacs some weeks ago and saw these snails floating on the water. He said it first looked like flies and then saw what they were!!!!
