Anyone chasing perchies? I am going up next friday and they will be my main target. You can have your walleye pike rough fish…

Be careful…The DNR may have decided to put some sort of slot on those also! (Okay…that was wrong..)
My real question is are they wormy with how warm the water is? RR

We caught some last week in 6 to 10 fow trolling #4 Hornets near the Flamingo area. I think if you were to anchor up on the rocks and use a bobber set up with a jig-n-leech or piece of crawler, you’d catch your share of perch.

I “chased” perch all morning yesterday on the NW side of the lake, NOTHING…. Not even a follow on a crank bait. We fished the rocks, weeds, and even sand. The perch are not in the shallows yet on the northwest side of the lake.

The smallies on the other hand….well that is another story. OMG were they on the chew yesterday. Lots of fish. 3 guys I would say about 50 or so fish. Many different year classes caught on many different presentations. The most productive was wacky rigged senko’s, most fun was topwater.

    Man those fish can fight!
