    If you seriously want to catch a trophy, and want to increase your chances…….. Hire a guide for a your first day. This will help you learn a lot about the lake and what techniques are working well and such. These guys fish the lake many times a week if not some of them everyday. On the top of the page go to where it says fishing guides, then to MN, then to Mille Lacs and there you have a list of the best guides out there!!!

    No problem, just a suggestion, as I have never fished the lake. If a guide would be an option, it would be a great way to learn a little about the fishing before you go out on your own. If that isn’t really an option for you, you may get someone to give out some info, but the guys in the know might be tight lipped if they are fishing tournements there still. Also, check out the reports for Mille Lacs, Lip Ripper usually has a weekly report here that is quite good and will give you some info???
