JJ, The only question I have is……………………….
What kind of beer does he drink?
I’m pretty sure it was an Evert’s Resort special… Busch Light!

Anything that you learned that would help out someone else that gets into that situation?
Yes, I will share my thoughts on the subject. I’m writing an article.

I can recommend one thing that you should do if this would ever happen again…CALL SOMEONE AT IDA!
OK, I will. My excuse this time was I soaked my cell phone. Luckily, the thing dried out and is working now!

ps. I love the title of this
There are probably a bunch of people under the age of …… oh say 35 that are thinking “Who the heck is Lucy and you need to learn how to spell”!!!

Glad to here you’re OK. Derek and I kept driving by your place and seeing the boat gone. We thought you were a fishing freak.
We were on the water a lot last weekend!

You now have quite the reputation for pushing a boat to it’s limits.

So much for good karma for dragging that boat for 3 hours on Pool 2 a few weeks ago.
Opener night at about 3am we towed in a dead boat off Shaws Reef. (Ran down the battery, couldn’t get it started.) Thought I had plenty of good Karma to go around. Guess not….

I just about fell out of my chair when I read your post to find out it was YOU!
If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. I learned that the hard way.

May 18, 2007 at 4:01 am #572452to start with I was gilligan on the SS YAR- CRAFT and never in a million years did i think we would turn over, swamp yes but turn over? It happened so fast that i didnt even have a chance to be scared or worried, I cant answer for jon but the water never got any higher than my chest as i pulled my self up onto the bottom of the bow thanks to the tow eye A special thanks to Tim and his fishing partners for abandoning a very hot bite to save our buts. The scary part is what would have happened if they hadnt noticed our problemns. I thank you ,my family thanks you , everybody that knows me thanks you .As for Kharma , I wont ever look the other way when someone needs help on any waterway i ever fish.so… Jon , we gonna fish together on memorial weekend? I definately feel the need to get back up on the horse. But maybe no backtrolling okay lol
May 18, 2007 at 10:28 am #572485Just wondering, would splash gaurds helped at all?
Scarry stuff you guys went thru. That lake can be so decieving, the waves dont seem that big, until you have to move, and there always seems to be that one or two odd bigger waves that say hello I coming in.
Now that you guys are safe, hope everything else works out as far as the boat and tackle.
May 18, 2007 at 5:07 pm #572585Hey Jon, glad your OK pal. Getting your handheld radio back to you seems kind of trivial in all this mess. I’ll give you a call this weekend.
May 21, 2007 at 2:20 am #573106Man good to hear you are oaky. Here are the photos I saw. Hope they let me post them on here or I can get them setup another way to. Your going at it all wrong.
May 22, 2007 at 3:56 pm #573806I was graciously reward by Jon this weekend with beer. Way overkill Jon, a simple handshake would have been plenty. Thanks you very much, stop over and help me enjoy it this summer. Hope to see you on the water again soon.
June 4, 2007 at 3:26 pm #577645Just saw this post today…haven’t had time to get on IDA much the last couple weeks. I am really glad to hear you are okay….had to be a scary ordeal.
