I know late last fall the water was way down and I was wondering if it is going to be an issue launching a boat at most public ramps on opener, has anyone been up there lately.

Last weekend , Bobber was saying the lake was down 2 feet last fall, and he figures it is up about 6″-8″ from then, so it is down 1 1/2 feet yet.

Yep, it will be an issue at most public launches. There are a few public accesses that you can get out of, but it depends on the size of your boat and the incoming winds. Your best bet would be at one of the private launches around the lake.

North end is goona’ have issues this spring. Doesn’t much matter if its a private or public access. Take Barnacle Bills for example: Once you get out of their waterway you still have to deal with that 50 yards of 1′ water. Heavy boats are going to have issues…RR

Am I looking at the correctly? The water depth was taken every 1/2 hour for the entire month of April??? Who/how was that done?

i have a tyee 1950 and will be staying at McQuiods. Any idea, how the public launch is next to it?

We have a dock space rented, so hopefully it is deep enough.

They use data loggers that take a measurement from the flow gauge every 1/2 hour.

The access is real low! watch for the big rock that is just across from the ramp area. It usally has a bouy near it. Trim it up and keep and eye open….

I know exactly which rock you are talking about, quite often i see guys backing away from the launch and bump that rock.

We touched it a few years back(no damage) but made sure to stay off to one side or the other every time after that while trolling through.

So basically since April 1st, the lake is up .25′ or 3″.

Hopefully we get some more rain up in that neck of the woods soon.
