Long time lurker first time poster. I am planning on doing my brothers bachelor party on the pond the middle of June. I am looking for some tips and suggestions as to where we could stay and take out launches. We will have roughly 40 guys and will be bringing extra boats for daytime fishing. Thanks for the tips in advance!

man, I just went through the same thing. good luck finding anything. I know hunters point is pretty booked up we couldn’t get a spot in the cabins for 15-20 guys mc quids is we are staying they have a 5 bedroom house they rent for pretty cheap I guess the gal said they call it the party house so it should fit our group just fine. If you don’t mind walking across the highway twin pines is where we went last year with twelve guys and it was pretty alright atleast they have a bar there which mcQuids doesn’t. good luck!

Thanks. I talked to George and the only thing they have is executive fish houses. I will run it past the guys but I have a feeling some will not like the idea. I realize this will be very tough to accomodate but I have my fingers crossed. Thanks for the tip about the bus!

The executive fish houses are probably nicer than some of the cabins you will find in that area. They are really nice inside.

Don’t tell them it’s a fishhouse and they may not even realize it….except for no plumbing.

The executive houses are nice, but it is a fish house tucked back in the back forty. Fairly cheap too, considering the orice if cabins. Hunter’s is the place. A good place to check is Gregory’s on the west side. Thay have a few cabins perfect for a bachelor party….ahem

There are two resorts in Wahkon, Island View and Walleye Dundee’s. Dundee’s serves a great breakfast (Island View is right next door) and has a launch. You can walk to 2 bars in “downtown” Wahkon and one, Mugg’s, has always had great food for supper.Easy drive to Bock.

    grrbrr,

If you are still looking for something, check out http://www.sunsetbayml.com We have new cabins complete with full kitchens, fireplaces, a really nice sand beach and plenty of parking for trucks with trailers. I’m sure that if you were to charter George’s launch we could arrange for them to pick you up at our resort, as it is just a little south of Hunter’s point
