open water, mazominee point

    be careful around mazominee point, the point that makes cove bay. there is open water off of the point and the ice is deteriorating from underneath in spots out on the reef. the rocks are heating up from the sun and the ice is getting thin. i was coming in yesterday evening on the atv and hit some thin ice that scard the he!! out of me…………tom fellegy

    Tom, you better stay away from that area and come up the eastside and fish my area!!! I have a spot for you that put out 77 keeper perch in two days!!!

    The open water sounds a bit scary. A couple of us are heading up tomorrow afternoon to try to find some mid week jumbos. Bob – where are you accessing the lake right now? Are you still able to drive trucks or is it 4 wheeler only? Thanks. And anyone who is interested in hooking up to drill some holes let me know.

    I’m still running out of my boat harbor with the atv….I saw one truck out of Hunters today. I asked George form Hunters at noon today how his access was and he was just getting back from LOW and didn’t know

    I would suggest using a atv myself! Than you can get out pretty much anywhere!

    Perch were slow this afternoon! I thought they would have been jumping with the weather change coming!!! oh well,, thats fishing!

    I drove my truck out of Lybacks yesterday, but its changing daily. The landings are taking a beating. It’ll be wheelers only shortly with this weather. Call ahead before you go. Lybacks still had good roads as of yesterday.
