Whats the best way to get around on the lake now? Are you confined to the resort roads, or has the snowpack melted down enough to use a wheeler? Isnt it too warm to use snowmobiles right now? Thanks.

It depends on what lake you’re talking about. Some lakes are better for travel than others… If’ you’re asking about Mille Lacs, you can get around if you can get off the roads. However, you better have a rope and two vehicles with 4X4. Be sure to stay away from old plowed roads or where houses were banked… Oh and by the way, you’ll score some dandy perch off the beaten paths. But still, be cautious and very careful! If you have a sled, use it! It’s better than doing the baja…

Snowmobile is best if you have on e(at least on the South East Side). There are spots where you can get off the plowed roads, but make sure you have 2 4×4 and a tow strap and shovels.

Lybecks had GREAT roads to many spots, the fish didn’t coorporate much. DEEP water was best for us for keeper perch, BRING THE SUNSCREEN…

My group of 3 got 8 keepers and numerous small ones. Biggest being 12.5 (TRUE JUMBO) and smallest (keeper) 10″. One tullibee. The other three with us got about the same # of keepers but 10″ ers, and two tullibee.

They just haven’t schooled up yet. Would come through in groups of 1 or two and move on QUICKLY!!!
