We have been catching fish off the dock the past few nights again. The walleye have started to bite in the shallow rocks close to shore. I have been catching fish, as my neighbor has also in around 4-6 feet. Saturday night my neighbor caught a 28 inch walleye before the sun went down!
Most of these walleye have been running small, falling into the slot size! Most are 14-18 inches……smaller males that have started to feed again. The reports from last night are that people out on Lakeside reef and Flamingo reefs caught good numbers of keepers!

Time to head out to the dock for the evening bite!

Bobber, that shore fishing sure sounds fun. We fish that area right in front of your place on opener and in the fall but never this late in the season. My great uncle used to live a few houses down from you before he passed away (John stanford). We used to fish off of his dock and we always caught walleyes, the occasional northern and some rock bass. I might be out there saturday night, maybe I will just leave the anchor at home and tie up to your dock instead…lol.
