I didn’t make it to Mille this weekend but my fishing partner and his wife did (Chad & Mary). We’ve been to the same spot (Calais Flat) a bunch of times this year and it’s never let us down.
Same program as times past with buckshot spoons and minnow heads. The perch were biting better on a spoon with a 4″ dropper to a small jig. Chad thought they had 10-15 eyes and 30+ perch. They left about 5:00 so they missed out on the evening bite.
I think we’ll make one last trip to Mille this week and then we’ll be putting our efforts towards the Really Big Pond (LOW)for the remainder of the ice season.
