Wondering about snow on the lake

We are heading up this weekend for a two-night stay on the ice, and I am toying with the idea of bringing my snowmobiles up. Since there is no snow on the trails anywhere, and they are just sitting in the garage collecting dust this winter, I though it might be nice to put a few miles on. The question is: Is there enough snow on the ice to make for decent lubrication for the slides? Is it worth the effort to haul them up, or should I just plan to fish all day?

There is some snow up there, nut not alot. If you have the itch there should be enough to ride. If it were me I’d fish.

Theres plenty to keep your sled cool.

I didn’t get out onto the big part of the lake but when I was up this past weekend near shore on the south end there was enough drifted snow to get a 4-wheeler stuck. I’d say there was 6″ 50-75 yards from shore and 20″ at the shoreline.

Well, it’s decided then, the sleds will be coming up. They should be an entertaining break in the action from time to time. Although they will probably be very confused getting out of the garage .
