    Here is a another pic from a previous trip a couple days ago from the big pond! This fish hit the old bread and butter lindy rig with a big black jumbo leech!

    Nice looking fish DeeZee. I really like the way these fish filled out over last summers look.

    I agree. These fish look pleasantly different from last year. Very solid all the way through their bodies and seem quite spunky for some of their sizes. I had a couple 25 inchers Sunday that fought like they were true giants and had me guessing for a minute or two!

    I see you have a helper along in the boat with you and your wife!

    Yeah he is a helper alright. He (Gus) will occasionally retrieve the bobber to the boat. I thought I had him over that, but Sunday night while bobber fishing he decided to help us out and over he went for the retrieve. If I could only get him to dive and unhook some of those cranks on those snags then I wouldn’t leave home without him.
    He is fun to have in the boat when landing a fish, he gets as excited as I do every time.

    Now thats a retriever!

    Mine is the exact opposite…if I am in the back of the boat, she is up front sleeping and when a fish is landed, I may be lucky enough to get a look from her and thats about it. Although, get tennis ball thrown from shore and look out! Great companion to bounce ideas and sandwiches off of!
