Cove Bay

    Anyone hear of a truck falling thru crack out of Cove Bay?
    Heard he went thru last nite,(sun) and couldn’t get out. His nickname was Shorty, he didn’t make it.

    A freind of mine using my shack just out of Cove Bay called me this morning and told me about this. Sounds like the guy cut across the end of Mezominee Point. With the low water levels, the rocks are just below the surface there and the ice hasn’t been good all year near the point. The ice is good on the opposite side of the bay on the marked road. This is a real shame!

    No he did not make it out. He was trapped in half way down the crack. I beleive his brother found him the next day. It is a true shame and when the word gets out, it will not fare well with the media. It does not have to happen.This is why I recommend that people do not drive after dark. He was a local boy also.
