Drive or hitch a ride

Hey I’m off tomorrow, and considering hitting the lake; what are the ice conditions (driving yet?). Still a little skeptical about the Croix. If not, will a resort owner give haul me and my portable out? Any suggestions would be much help. Thanks (check out attachement, interesting stuff)

Give JOhn (Rockman) a call at Rocky Reef, sounds like he has been taking quite a few out the last couple of weeks. He is also expecting drive out ice this weekend.
