Went out of Hunters this morning, 14 inches of ice, we drove our vechile out to 2 mile reef, ( yes there letting vechiles go out only as far as 2 mile and 3 mile reefs, from 2 mile we took a snowmobile to the Boot flat,Weather today was beautiful except for the thick fog, luckily we had our h20’s with to find the boot… fishing today all together today was TERRIBLE , didnt mark much for fish , or see any on the camera, managed one 16 inch walleye all day , there was only us and 3 other groups fishing the whole Boot, talked to many people today who had the same luck …. I think the weather had alot to do with it…

Is there a way you can get a ride out from hunters? like if you dont want to drive your own vehicle out can they take you and your gear out and pick you back up?
    thanks

Sorry, they don’t provide any transportation

you need a atv or snowmoblie!

The point is not a far walk to the south, maybe 1/3 mile or so…good structure, walleyes and some perch!

Are there any houses on the mud yet? I am thinking about going up there with 3 other guys with a 4 man sleeper towed behind an ATV. We would like to take Nittis road out to the mud and fish our old spots out there. Thanks for your input..

As of wednesday, I only saw one permanent shack out on the mud….by the looks of it, it was out during the rain storm last weekend. George and most resorts I have talked with are only letting out atv/sleds to the mud. There is one trouble spot still by the boot and keep in mind, the ice from the west side to the middle flats was the last to freeze up this year. I would say travel at your own risk.

That would depend on where your spot is. 95% of the areas are good, but they do still have some concern spots that they will make you aware of and they are staked also.
Don’t travel out there at night if you dont know where you are going. You can’t always see the stakes. be safe
