Any suggestion for a place to stay near the pond?

    Any suggestion for a place to stay near the pond?
    I am tired of driving 260 miles round trip. I have all this week off and I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions on a decent place to stay near mille lacs. I like the east side best but would consider what else is out there with in 30 miles or so of the lake. Any ideas let me know.

    The Hunters Motel is really nice. $80 a night..

    I guess it really depends on how much you wanna spend for one night and how far away you can afford to be. For example, you could stay at a motel in Brainerd too which is about 30-45 minutes drive. Otherwise, Derek’s suggestion sounds fine for something on the lake. Other options on the lake side include Red Door on the North End which is very clean but only has antenna TV. There is also Garrison Inn and Suites. Also nice and clean with cable TV.
