(3) of us fished a rock pile on the SE end of the lake on Saturday afternoon. We were fishing a break from 16 to 25 fow. We finished with 5 Eyes and 6 Jumbos, which isn’t great, but what a perfect day on the ice. We were near Hennepin Island and the ice was excellent. 8 inches of crystal clear ice. The ice was making alot of noise through out the afternoon and evening. I was surprise that we only picked up one eye after 5 p.m. I had to get back for a neighborhood party, so we only fished until 6:00 p.m. Maybe things would have picked up more if we had stayed later. Demons with a full fathead minnmow hooked through the back worked best. They didn’t seem to want the bait moving much. I think we picked up one eye jigging a glow devil/minnow head combo. If you go make sure you have cleats for your feet.
