Any other recommendations besides Hunters? We want something that is nice, clean and relatively new. Thanks!

IS there a certain side of the lake you want to be on? Its not much fun when you have to hump it 14 miles across the lake. Especially in the winter time.

Besides Hunters, there’s The Wharf just a little south with decent sleepers, and good fishin. I have a house I use out of The Wharf, we’ll be off Big Point in the honey hole!

I hate to say this BUUUT….. ive never ice fished milacs, i know i know i cant really call myself a fisherman for that but im trying to make up for lost time. Winnibigosh has been my go to lake since i was 4 with that being said, its hard to leave a place when you have GPS cordinates that always produce.

So with that said , where should i go? Who wants to sell some GPS spots

I’ll sell you lots of GPS spots. Doesn’t mean they will product fish, but I can make up all kinds of spot from the map.

Lots of good fishing on that side of the lake. Get the reel bottom map and look for your typical walleye areas. The shanty towns aren’t usually too far away. Actually they are usually on the spots. But the fish typically move off to the edges of the high pressure areas, so don’t be afraid to get away from the crowd, but stay in the general vacinity. Good luck!!

I stumbled on to the owner of the Wharf in Best Buy one day. We visited for 10 mins, seemed like a nice guy. I’ve heard lots of positives from others, can’t imagine you could go wrong with these shacks. I think the wife would even consider one of these….

stopped by a place at the st. paul ice fishing show. Husband and wife that bought an old resort in isle..sorry forgot the name. They had a really nice Grand Lodge shack they were showing off at the show. She said they bought four brand new Lodge fish shacks that they will be running out this year. If anybody caught their name…these were top of the line shacks…looked really nice.

When we go up, we usually stay at Appeldoorns(used to be Karpens). Always went with an 8 hole deluxe. we are always in the same house each year, and they are fairly new. Owners are friendly and will put u on some fish and are willing to move u if fish are biting in another spot or tell u were they are biting.

    Worth considering-
    Appeldoorns
