    I wasn’t sure where I’d open up this year but we’ve recently decided to open on the big pond. I have Monday, the 11th off of work. I’ve got a place to say Sunday night but I’m looking for something, even a place to throw up a tent, for Friday and Saturday nights. I haven’t done too much digging yet but things appear to be pretty full already. Any suggestions? My stompin’ grounds tend to be on the west and north side of the lake but I’m open to anything. I usually do day trips from my house but plan on staying this time since it is three days straight. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    The public access in Garrison has camping availible with community bathroom and showers.

    Wahkon city park has camping availible. Launch is a little shallow for a bunk trailer but have launched Pro-v’s there with no problem. I think its like $8.00 a night or something close to this? Pretty small area but you are right next to your boat the entire time.

    You could try Father Hennepin or Mille Lacs Kathio State Parks
