I seen a post awhile ago but cannot find it. So with night fishing at a prime this weekend I will ask again. I see guys with led head lamps that light up the whole lake. I lost my Prinction Tec. I did like it a lot with the “spot” light for landing fish. But the 2 aa did not seem to last that long and found myself with dead batteries a lot. What lamp works good for spot light. I have a 6 led one I use for ice fishing but does not have the “spot light” I am looking for.

Take a look at the Petzl MYO’s. They have both the LED’s and a Xenon spot that will shine out about 100 yds. They are fairly spendy but they are also just about bulletproof as well.

I have a myo 5 and love it. It takes a while to get used to turning it on to what you want. Spot or high, med , low ect.. Really light and a good spot. I also have a petzel tikka plus that is my favorite but doesn’t have a spot, just low, med, high and flash.

I use the 5 LED Energizer. It’s bright and works well, however I really don’t like that I have to cycle through each function just to turn the darn thing off. First click is spot, then flood, then flood/spot, then red, then off. Four clicks every time.
I like the red, and would rather have a slide switch. Middle off, one side spot, one side red. That is all I need.
I’ve seen the 5 LED cat eyes, those throw off a lot of light, but they are a little harder to find than the 3 LED.
