Well, I got out the calendar today to begin mapping the first rough outline of my days off this summer. That sure puts me in the mood. I really start getting the fever once I get the vacation days inked in. One of the wonderful things about Mille Lacs is having it close enough to do a weekend day trip even if I don’t have any vacation that week. It was nice to see Derek’s thoughts on the upcoming bite – that it shouldn’t be too bad. I really struggled last fall. Although I did a little ice fishing this year, non of it was on Mille Lacs and for me, the ice fishing takes a distant back seat to the open water season. Anyone else bursting with anticipation yet?
