EFN is proud to announce an quality addition to its growing Field Staff Team… Derek Johnston!

A little about Derek… “Ive been guiding on Mille Lacs lake for over 15 years, both privately and as a launch captian. I also fish the RCL, MTT and Wave Wacker events. My goal on EFN is to provide information about Mille Lacs, I enjoy sharing my ideas and methods.”

We definitely look forward to the increase in coverage and information on one of MN’s premiere bodies of water. For those of yout that frequent the Mille Lacs Lake forum, take this opportunity to welcome Derek to FTL.

    Again, welcome aboard Derek!~

Welcome aboard Derek! Glad to have you with us as we all have enjoyed your posts on helpful tips and tricks for putting more eyes on the ice or in the boat.
There is no doubt that we will run into each other up there sometime this open water season as I cannot wait for the season to get rolling again up there!

    Again, Welcome!

Welcome aboard Derek from your neighbor to the north. I have enjoyed the posts that you have posted and look forward to seeing more. Can’t wait to here from you come open water when the walleye flurry really starts to go. I usally try to make it down to the north end once or twice to take advantage of the sand bite on the north end and that sure can be fun.

Hey guys thank for the great welcome. I’m excited to be apart of the EFN network. I’m here to share information and keep the reports real and fresh which are important. There are many knoledgeable people on this site. The Internet keeps on growing and more and more people are logging on to get information. Networking can be a great tool. I hope to see you guys on the water someday.
We have a better slot than last year but still have a long ways to go. I don’t think this new Perch hatch is going to have a big impact, I could be wrong with Mother Nature, but looking at past bait blooms, we generally see a good bite up to July anyways.
    Thanks again
