The weed to rock transition areas you guys talk about are located in what general area of the lake. What are favorite mono lines for slip bobbering? The perch are still biting ? We are going to be up there over the weekend any advice is greatly appreciated as we are relatively new too the pond.

Most of the guys who fish the lake this time of year focus on the West and NW sides of the lake. There are many of these transitions. Check out he reports forum and the Mille Lacs forum, under Minnesota. Tons of great info.

If you slip bobber fish make sure your well lit. Most guys are trolling this time of year. You will have them moving around you all day/night.

As for the perch, in Isle Bay, the west side of Malone Island in 6-10 FOW around the weeds is still very active, but you will have to do some sorting. You can also check the weed line on the west side of the bay above the deep hole south of the state park boat ramp. In Wahkon Bay, people have been catching fish off of Fredrickson’s point, and along the weed edges south of Half Moon Island. Bobbers and small minnows are the best bait, but you can get them on leeches also, if you have any. I personally prefer tipping a small flutter spoon, or Swedish Pimple with a minnow head and casting it out and bouncing it along the bottom.

    Good Luck!

I would also make it a point to skip the leaches from here out… the water is to the point now where you won’t get any action on them, stick with rainbows, shiners or fatheads
